Confused, I called SweetWater and they were genuinely concerned about my claim that my shipment never arrived even though the tracking number from UPS said the order had been delivered. Not once did customer support suspect I was trying to steal a second product from them using an erroneous excuse! In fact, they had an associate call me up almost each day to keep me up to date with the status of the order and to find out what went wrong. It turned out that UPS had fumbled and had sent the product back to them. So besides the fact that I got a great deal on the product, I got free shipping twice and great customer support! My biggest complaint is that the web site does not accurately reflect what they have in stock. The last three times I've ordered from them, the items were listed as "in stock." I received the standard confirmation phone call from my rep, only to be told the item was out of stock and on order. The last time this happened, I told my rep to please keep me on the wait list for the item. New stock came and went, and I didn't get my product. When I asked why, my rep said he'd taken me off the wait list! And he was not friendly, as if it were my fault. On top of that, they list some software items as "instant downloads." In fact, for some items you must wait for the manufacturer to issue you the license. That seems reasonable, but if that's the case then Sweetwater shouldn't mislead their customers by saying they can receive the item as soon as your order is approved. Go with zzounds.com. Sweetwater is NOT the cheapest, BUT they ARE the best in customer service. Period. 1) They are friendly and act like they actually care. 2) They are located in a part of the country (small town Indiana, USA where people in general live a friendly kind of lifestyle to begin with. 3 All sales people are required to live in and around Ft. Wayne Indiana, so they absorb that 'friendlyness' and pass it on to you. 3) They hire friendly, knowledgeable people that care about what they are selling you (not some kid at a chain store required to make a 'spiff' or lose his hours, etc 4) Unlike the kid, they listen to your needs, not try to sell you a 'box'. 5) They tailor their quotes around those needs by LISTENING to you. 6) They follow up if you have technical questions (to which I always have being a recording engineer) 7. The first order was satisfactory, but subsequent service worsened. One item arrived without a manual. The next, an expensive multi-effects purchased later, failed to boot. The VERY helpful manfacturer's service resolved the problem: a processing chip was not fully seated. This means that SWEETWATER did NOT TEST THE ITEM BEFORE THEY SENT IT. So much for their vaunted controls. Doubtful if they test anything until they receive customer complaints. Telephone service varies with the ambitions of their salesperson. One fellow insisted on offering me the most expensive in a digital reverb category; another insisted on the kind of cables they had in stock, not necessarily the best. Supposedly experts on the gear they sell, they were unable to answer a question on an older item (theirs) and told me to "fend for myself". Business with Sweetwater is risky; better prices also elsewhere.	Overall Rating

The orders arrive fast and the shipping is always free no matter how large or small the order. Sweetwater includes candy (like Sweet Tarts and / or other candies with the shipment). You can use Bill-Me-Later to purchase your order(s) on credit without using a credit card. The selection of products is not as large as other companies such as Musician's Friend. Then a rep. called me to take care of everything. Sounded like a nice guy but was very annoyed that the receptionists didn't care to hear what I wanted but just kept tranfering me to different extensions not knowing if the rep. was by his desk. I am unhappy with what I purchased becuase the saleman sold me a pedal which is specified for a guitar, not a bass. I did tell him which model bass I was using and which amp I was using. I want to exchange it for a standard pedal tuner. I am suppose to ship it to them and pay for the shipping because there product was misrepresented which is unsatisfactory to any customer. I am waitin on my bass hard case was told 2-2 1/2 weeks, we'll find out when that gets here on my updates. I will also update it when I receive my new pedal back. Second pedal was lost in shipment. Best price on the merchandise found through extensive searching (including popular online auction site)with free super fast shipping. About five minutes after placing the order I received a phone call from a customer service rep. letting me know that my order was ready to ship and how much they appreciated my business. Two days later I received the great merchandise and a follow up phone call by the same rep. to make sure everything was copesthetic, which it was. (I then contacted a few of the "we will beat any price" places--none of them even responded with a counteroffer.) An initial e-mail inquiry to Sweetwater was answered within minutes, and the item shipped the same day as ordered--free--and was on my doorstep two days later. The product was as advertised. Sales associate was extremely helpful and courteous. Had to return 2 of the items the next day because I didn't want them and my sales associate took care of it quickly and without hassle. My only problem with the return was that I had to pay for the original shipping costs of the returned items which were free when I ordered originally.
