For some time I had been looking into buying either a Nikon D200 or D300 online. Just this past August I was very excited to purchase a Nikon D200 kit from under $449 from one of your vendors, Focus Camera. I patiently read all of the site reviews and I even called Buy.Com Customer Service to verify that I was purchasing the right product. Customer Service indeed informed me that I am purchasing a new Nikon D200 kit with a Full USA Warranty. Ten days later after my package arrived boy was I surprised, I received an electronic Dutch-English Dictionary. I have now returned the Dictionary for a full refund to Focus Camera. For obvious reasons I am very unhappy with Buy.com. Regards, Gabriel |

I went back and looked at the last 30 transactions through 2005 that I have had through Buy.com and can't say that I have had any problem with them. Typically the items have been electronics, tech, books, games, and movies. Prices were good and shipping was responsive. The caveat is I have never needed to utilize their customer service. |

I ordered one Seiko watch and had very bad experience with Buy.com marketplace sale. I got a defective watch! One rubber piece (possibly waterproof washer between watch and back over) was peeping out. When I checked return policy, Buy.com says that I should deal directly with seller. I am sure at the time of placing order, you will miss the marketplace word. Buy.com is responsible only for collecting money!!!!!!!!!!! Always avoid this trap if don’t want to suffer like me. I called seller and he was prompt in giving me RMA number but just number. I had to pay for freight and insurance. I didn’t choose to pay further on the watch. I was not sure if I send watch back, I will get something in return. So friends, please beware and don’t get trapped. Never buy anything from Buy.com marketplace. |

I placed my first order with payment by Paypal. This company could not verify my Paypal account. They kept saying something was not confirmed or verified though I have a verified premier account with confirmed billing and shipping addresses which I confirmed with Paypal. I placed a second order using just a credit card in an attempt to avoid their incompentence concerning Paypal. For the second order (48519153), they claimed they had to call me at my billing phone number to verify the billing address. This call never came. They have wasted a week of my time. I am rating them one (1) star as zero (0) is not an available option. They are a zero (0). The worst online purchasing experience I have ever had. I believe I will go back to Skidiscounters because I had zero (0) questions and issues with them. The hassle is not worth the savings. |

Bought a LINKSYS WRT120N wireless router. However, unit was defective, did not work at all, despite a network engineer/friend installing it. We called LINKSYS, and after 30+ minutes troubleshooting, they said defective unit, return to store. BUY.COM refused to accept it back, as I had recycled the box (my bad for assuming a good product, and for my being green). In calling LINKSYS, found out I was sold a 2 year old, new-in-box unit, sold as new. BUY.COM failed to make me aware of that little detail. I cancelled credit card charge and am buying locally. Never again will I use BUY.COM!! Look at their last 3 months ratings--service going DOWN QUICKLY!! DANGER WILL ROBONSON, DANGER!! |

Buy.com is good if you don't have a problem. On August 13, 2009 I ordered a laptop. It shipped promptly and was delivered on August 17. On August 16 my thirteen year old grandson. I told him I bought a laptop and he went to the site. He said " Pop, They have a cheaper price." It was reduced by $50. On August 17 I tried to find an phone number to call. There was none on their site, so I called 411, then 1800-555-1212. No number, but 1-800 gave me the number of Buynow.com. I got the Buy.com number from them. FedEx arrived. The box was crushed. I refused the delivery. Buy.com credited my account, but refused to send another laptop. They said I had to reorder, submit a request for the $30 instant rebate and the reduced price which "I" had to prove. Buy.com agreed to credit the $30, but even though I sent a Google site printout that showed the $50 reduction, but they said the price was not reduced. By this they called my grandson and I liars. NO CUSTOMER SERVICE AT BUY.COM. |

Great response in shipping. was in the mail a few hours after ordered, but they shipped via UPS. received items within a few days (was happy with the service to this point) opened the package to find my items were all beat up. it looked like UPS decided to do the chacha on the package. tried talking to their customer service and have yet to have a response after 7 days of the original complaint. sent 2nd complaint about the complaint and still no response. I give them a 5 star rating until it comes to their shipping company they used and their customer service. I rate both those with 0 stars - absolutely horrible! |

I don't get the negative reviews either, I've never had an issue with this company. I got a 12 mp camera from them that to this day NO ONE sells for this cheap, period. Shipping said would take 7 to 9 business days, but took around 3. I think Howie and that thin guy from Road Trip have their reasons to bein' their spokesmen beyond money, since they both have enough :) |

I will never buy another item from this company! I placed my order on Sunday July 5, 2009 and received a confirmation e-mail that my order had been "processed" and it would be shipped in two to three days. I contacted the company on Wednesday July 8, 2009 about my order. I receive an e-mail back that they where having trouble "verifying" my credit card but at the same time a "pending" charge from Buy.com mysteriously appeared on my credit card. I sent an e-mail back asking why someone from Buy.Com did not contact me prior to me contacting them about this issue. I never received an answer to this question. After numerous e-mails back and forth and three days later, without ever having to verify my credit card, my order was "released" for shipment. I received my order ten days later! I contacted customer service several times but their only response or excuse was, "there was a problem with my credit card" and nothing was done. |

I placed an order on Monday July 20th. If I had read the reviews before that I would have bought somewhere else. I purchased my product on a Monday and paid via PayPal and the money came out of my account within a day. So they have their money. When I check my order 3 days later it still says processing. So why is it still being processed when the money is already out of my account and in their hands? I email them with the only email I found for the shipping dept. and I received a reply saying that they have NO record of my order, and to check my receipt again to contact customer service. So I check my receipt and find a different email for customer service only to get a reply that I can review my order status online. The stupid order status was stuck in processing for the entire week and weekend. It was only on today July 28th! that I check back with them about my order, and it says it FINALLY SHIPPED on July the 27th!!!!! So now I have to wait another week to get my stuff! |

Listen -- it is absolutely crazy to give buy.com a negative review. They are hands down the best bargain retailer I've ever patronized. Shipment, even free shipping, is always fast. Customer service is well above average (it used to be the best when they had the 1-800 number). And their prices are rarely beaten. Hooray for buy.com!! |

In the past, I have ordered a hard drive, a refurbished sansa mp3 player, and a Whistler XTR 140 radar detector. Everything I have ordered had a free shipping offer or some other discount I used. I knew exactly what I was getting every time I have ordered. Even with free shipping, everything arrived pretty timely. I don't know how people are having these issues with Buy.com. Remember, like Amazon, they also have other sellers who list items. Make sure those sellers are reputable. Honestly, I'm starting to think half these people who review items are idiots and seem to try as much as possible to make things difficult for themselves. I'd rate my experiences with Buy.com equal with Neweggs, and Buydig.com, which were both great. |

Absolutely HORRIBLE. I was shocked that such a seemingly reputable company could have such bad…. Everything! There was not a single aspect of my transaction that was anything but than horrifying. 1- From ordering (processing took nearly 10 days followed by a mysterious cancellation), 2- ordering again (processing this time only took about 5 days), 3- to shipping delays (took nearly three times as long to receive it as they stated), 4- to receiving a counterfeit knockoff grey market item (they even went through the effort of putting a “Nikon USA” sticker on my lens), 5- hours on the phone with customer service (I’m sawwy, what you say?) Thank goodness I put it on American Express which quickly got involved. Will NEVER, ever, ever buy from them again. |

Buy.com has different companies that sell different things. I bought a Breville Juicer from Buy.com through a company called The Deal Spot. The credit goes to The Deal Spot for making the purchase so easy. If you see THEM on Buy.com, you can shop with piece of mind that you are getting the best price at a place that wont mess you up. They stand behind their products. (I also bought an Escort Radar Detector from them and was also very happy.) |

I must say, I'm a bit shocked to see the kind of feedback buy.com is getting. I've ordered from them dozens of times in the past 8 years and I've never had an issue. Granted, I haven't had to deal with a return, but I'm usually pretty savvy about knowing exactly what I'm ordering before I place the order. I've found them to be inexpensive and ship relatively quickly. |
