Strengths: Lightweight, small, easy to use, great for in the car
Weaknesses: small screen, but you know that when buying a 7"
Summary: This is my second portable DVD player, and my first from Toshiba. Though its screen is 1" smaller, I find I prefer this player to the other one (from Polaroid, though that has served me well), especially for my kids in the back seat of my minivan. It has clearly labeled keys for Play, Stop, etc., unlike my other one... keys that baffle my wife and children. It is sturdy, it closes via a magnet, rather than a physical clasp (which could break), the battery stays on well, and it is pretty light to carry. The remote works fine, but you need a line-of-sight (since it is infrared), which, in a car, you have to reach around to the back seat to use. Overall, if I could give it 4-1/2 stars I would, so I will give it 5 to balance out the other review. I feel secure, too, in that is a Toshiba rather than a Coby, Interex, or any other no-name I have never heard of.
